Political Dream

Posted by thearrow on September 9, 2008

Last night I dreamt I went home and took a big Obama-portrait fabric poster with me to hang it on my parents’ balcony. They live on the equivalent of probably the 15th floor (we don’t count the ground floor in Romania and there’s a mezanine, too); my plan was to cover the height of just one floor with it. I hung it up there, then went downstairs and saw that, unexpectedly, it became three-floor big. This from something you could fold in your pocket. Only it had the American flag on it, not Obama’s portrait. Hm… That was not what I wanted.

So I took the remote out and started flipping images on the poster. First came the indistinct image of another black guy, then the flag again; Obama was very elusive. I fiddled with my poster remote a little bit and finally got his portrait up there, fluttering a smile, haging on the corner of a big apartment building in Bucharest šŸ˜€

Yes, I really did dream this. I think his headshot on the cover of Time stuck in my mind and combined with thoughts about how I’m not going to Romania next year…

heh! azi am trecut pe linga blocul tau si incercam sa imi inchipui cum ar arata posterul lui Obama atirnat acolo. eu zic sa-l trimiti. de restul ma ocup eu. šŸ™‚

LOL.

Makes me homesick šŸ™‚ Oricum, foarte misto idee sa aduca expozitia la oameni in felul asta.
