It might be premature to say this, but I think it’s because spring love is in the air

Fun on Match.com
Posted by thearrow on February 1, 2009
Okay, maybe I should’ve picked a subtler title but I’m too lazy now; I can’t crank out one brainy post after another
. Having almost zero social life, thought I’d give Match a try. I’m still very skeptical you can meet someone for a long-term relationship through these services, but I thought I’d at least amuse myself. Not in the sense of making fun of people, but of possibly meeting some interesting guys even if nothing comes out of it romantically. I’m still working on my profile, but, because I’ve created an account, I can start looking around. Well, my expectation of amusement has already been met: some guys post a lot of shirtless pics of themselves. While I enjoy looking at a six-pack or some nice biceps as much as the next gal, I’d be very wary of meeting a guy who displays his physique with such nonchalance. Meanwhile, though, eye candy isn’t fattening and hasn’t hurt anybody
Later edit: I realized I might have been unclear. My source of amusement is these guys’ vanity in the first place. I find the idea of posting this kind of pics with yourself, and not one but a lot of them, hilarious. I did see some nice and thoughtful profiles, though. It’s not just boastful guys; quite a few of them seem to have a good sense of humor.
